The Lion Women of Tehran

An absolutely beautiful telling of the power of female friendships, from Marjan Kamali.

Two girls from very different backgrounds find each other in girlhood and become fast friends. Life evolves, people change, and they drift apart.

The magic is when they come back together. I don’t know about you, but I have some childhood friends that I haven’t spoken to in an age, and if they needed something tomorrow, I’d be there in a heartbeat. Sometimes those friendships runs deep, and are unbreakable.

Even better, when the other person is willing to put in the effort of rebuilding the friendship. Love that. Great read.
